WINNERS OF THE 4TH PERSPECTIVE:

The brazilian film ESTAMIRA by Marcos Prado won the Grand Award of the 4th Perspective, worth 5.000 €. The international Jury chose the portrait of a deeply impressing woman from the Slums of Rio de Janeiro from nine contributions in competition. (Click HERE to view the Jury Statement)

A Special Mention was given to the US-American contribution MARDI GRAS: MADE IN CHINA by David Redmon, which points out the coherences of globalization by showing female workers in a Chinese factory, who produce beads for Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

The Open-Eyes-Youth Jury Award for the movie best suited for human rights education in schools went to BUNSO, THE YOUNGEST by Ditsi Carolino from the Philippines. It documents perceptively the shocking situation of children and youths at a prison for men in Manila. (Click HERE to view the Open-Eyes-Jury Statement)

The German production THE AMATEURS AND THE GENERAL by Helge Cramer won the Audience Award of 1.000 €, donated by the Beck bakery. The well researched portrait of the reconstruction of the bridge of Mostar in Bosnia and of three people, who had been disunited by the war, received the best vote out of 38 movies from the International Forum and the competition.
